Oregon elementary school shooting leaves four dead; teacher and armed father credited with stopping attacker

“A 16-year-old former student forced his way into Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon, and opened fire, killing three children and a teacher and critically injuring two others. Police said a teacher confronted and tackled him before Kaylub Giamanco, an armed father of two students, fatally shot him. Coverage broadly credited both adults with saving lives.”
